This past week, the idea of the 'creative' mind crossed my thoughts. What does 'creative mind' even mean? Does this describe the skill of using a particular side of one's brain? You know - like a right-brain/left-brain mode of operation? Perchance this portrays the opening up to possibilities? Or maybe this phrase addresses the fearlessness of trying out new ideas.
Whatever the case, use your creative mind! Need a challenge? Try out the following:
*Write a new type of poetry or in a different voice.
*Measure your ability to imaginative play with a best friend's D&D group.
*Daydream while determining the shapes of clouds.
*Take part in solitary reflection
*Turn adversity into an advantage.
*Combine two "old" ideas into a new idea.
*Find new ways to keep yourself cool. (Side note: I took this last challenge. While attending a high school function, I created an ice bath to soak my swollen, hot feet. It went well with the large umbrella. I was quite comfortable in 100-degree heat. People looked at me like I was crazy, but then they turned green with envy!)
Whatever path you decide to follow, be adamant about your actions. Fully commit! Do you! Be all in! Just be sure NOT to eat the ice from your foot bath!
