Family Folklore is a cherished program where friends and family gather to reminisce and share stories while exploring photos and memorabilia. Faythe Publishing will interview, record, and transcribe your memories. We can organize a family retreat or an afternoon tea. Faythe Publishing Inc. literary agents provides a range of services to support and advance an author's career. They act as intermediaries between authors and publishers, handle the negotiation of publishing contracts, and may secure subsidiary rights deals, such as film, television, or foreign translations, further expanding an author's reach and potential revenue. Our agents review and critique manuscripts, offer editorial guidance, and help refine pitches to make submissions more compelling. The Voices Unchained program provides free writing resources, mentors, and opportunities for writers or families who have experienced imprisonment. Echoes of the Prairie
High School Poetry Contest

Enter our state-wide high school poetry contest! There is no entry fee, and students can write on any topic. Our goal is to publish an anthology featuring Kansas authors. Submissions are due by April 15. The top three poems will win an Editor's Choice Award and Amazon gift cards. Teachers with the most student entries will receive a free copy of the anthology. Unalome Society

The Unalome Society is a community of dedicated writers who collaborate, seek feedback, and share advice. Members benefit from weekly coaching and collaboration calls with founder Kynda Faythe, as well as support for overcoming writer's block. Faythe's Fundamentals

Faythe's Fundamentals is the founder's writing curriculum designed for high school students and anyone wanting a refresher in basic writing and creative writing classes. We offer the following packages:

 

The Way of Faythe - Level I, Books i & ii: This package includes units aligned with Kansas state curricular standards. Level I, Book i includes 15 lessons addressing: parts of speech, grammar, and sentence structure. Level I, Book ii units focus on paragraph structure, thesis statements, transitions, and organization for various types of writing. Level I books contain lessons designed for 7th to 9th grades.

 

The Way of Faythe - Level II, Books i & ii:: This package includes units aligned with Kansas state curricular standards. Level II, Book i provides 15 lessons reviewing the use of transitions, writing thesis statements, passive and active voice, essays, and academic writing. Level II, Book ii includes 15 lessons on credible sources, introducing cited material, in-text citations (in both MLA and APA format), annotated bibliographies, references/ works cited pages, and organizing research papers. Level II books contain lessons designed for 9th-12th grade.

 

The Way of Faythe - Level III, Books i & ii:: This package includes units aligned with Kansas state curricular standards. Level III, Book i provides 15 lessons on word choice, poetic forms, techniques, and literary devices. Lessons include exercises on imagery, metaphor, rhyme and metaphor. Level III, Book ii includes 15 lessons for 9th-12th grade students on character development, conflict, plot structure, setting, and dialogue. With the focus on creativity and storytelling techniques, this is designed to help students enhance their narrative writing skills. Level III book also offers teachers the chance to publish their students' work and to raise classroom funds by selling their products through Faythe Publishing, Inc. It contains 30 lessons designed for 9th-12th grades.

 

Faythe's Editing Essentials, Books i & ii: - If your student excels at storytelling, but struggles with verb tense, sentence structure, or syntax, Faythe's Editing Essentials class is perfect for them! Editing Essentials Book I covers creative punctuation and paragraphing, word choice, and techniques for adding nuance, drafting, and revision within 15 lessons. Editing Essentials Book ii provides students lessons that focus on the essential skills required for effective revisions, peer editing, and incorporating feedback. The lessons also emphasizes the importance of clarity, coherence, and consistency in writing. Designed for writers of all levels, Books i & ii help students produce clean, professional-quality work.

With diverse attendees, numerous events and exhibits, and lively celebrations, it’s the perfect place for connection, creativity, and conversation. First Draft Writers' Guild

Group Therapy

The First Draft Writers' Guild offers a four-week course, available twice a year, aimed at training and supporting underrepresented writers. The program includes both individual and group training in writing techniques, narrative composition, and the publishing process. Participants will receive mentorship, engage in hands-on projects, and have networking opportunities with other writers. Our goal is to amplify underrepresented voices and help emerging talents succeed in the publishing industry. Scholarships are available. Applications for the next course will open in November 2024.
